still life shot for studio class.

Supposed to be more of a design shot, rather than food.

Shot with 4x5 slide film

Some advice: Take that shot at more of an angle, so the food doesn't look so flat.

Something about this is just absolutely awesome, but it's hard to place just what. It has this awesome feng shui balance that keeps me captivated, even with such a simple design. Awesome job on that. I never knew food (especially rice) could be so hypnotic. :)

I was going more for a design shot, rather than a food shot.

Yum.
Nice colors.

Thanks. I was wondering if I should have used a green colored bamboo placemat instead of the light brown. But I wanted the leaves in the rice to really stand out on their own.

Love the green leaf contrasted against the brown, tan, and sepia tones. Really gives it a good, clean feel and is very asian-esque!

These kind of pictures makes me love photography, especially on devart, because it gives you a sense of "Wow, someone just like me did this! That means I have a chance too!" instead of looking at a photobook or billboard that gives you no connection to the person, giving you an "Oh, I could never do that." feeling.

This one gets a favorite for sure! :)
